Dr Glen Huges is a dentist from Australia, and he will be our special guest speaker on Saturday 26 October 2024.

There are two presentations, plus a tasty vegetarian lunch:

• 11.00am – Session 1 (as part of our weekly church service): “Not a Chance! Compelling evidence of design from a dentist’s perspective.”
• 12:30pm – Vegetarian Lunch Provided (Nourish Bowls)
• 2.00pm – Session 2 “Intelligent Design. The unsolved challenge for people on the fence about creation.”

Who is Dr Glen Hughes?

Dr Glen Hughes BDS Honours, Masters International Health.

Glen is a dentist who for the past 35 years has been mesmerised by the design and engineering of human biology.  He remains convinced that chance and time are insufficient explanations for the wonders of the human form.  Persuaded that design is clearly evident, he is keen to share the whispers of wonder he has been observing for many decades.  He will also explore some of the weaknesses in current theories of origins – without shouting, and with a deep sense of enduring mystery that encourages us all to maintain a relish for curiosity and a deep humility for what we do not know.

Glen has a keen interest in social justice dentistry and has worked for most of his professional life in this context.  He has worked in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kiribati, Solomon Islands as well as with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and Aboriginal Medical services in 4 different states and territories of Australia.  At present he is working in his private practice near Byron Bay and supporting Manna Haven – a Café ministry of the Byron Bay SDA church.
